The LX canopy from CapRax by Rhinoman is made for the Toyota Hilux Revo SR J-Deck dual cab (2015–2025). It's built from automotive-grade aluminium, has a 150kg roof rating, and has solid aluminium gullwing doors on both sides.
Roof strength
The LX roof is rated to 150kg, or the vehicle maker's rating if that's lower. That covers a light rooftop tent, a roof rack or load bars with gear on top. For heavier roof loads, look at the Xpedition or Xtreme, rated to 250kg dynamic and 500kg static.
As with any roof-mounted gear, add up the canopy, rack and load, and check the total is within your vehicle's payload.
Built from aluminium
- Automotive-grade aluminium construction with squarer frame corners than the Xpedition and Xtreme.
- Powder-coated in black, white, or a white frame with black doors.
- Lighter than a steel canopy, and it won't rust on the coast.
Doors and access
- Solid aluminium gullwing side doors on gas struts. Lift one and the whole side of the tub is open, so the fridge, tools and recovery gear are within reach without climbing in.
- With no glass in the side doors there's less to break and nothing on show, which suits tools and valuables.
- Rear gullwing door with rubber-mounted toughened glass.
- Fixed glass window at the cab end.

- LX canopies are drilled and bolted through the end of the tub, so allow for this when you book the fitting.
- We recommend fitting by a professional fitment centre. Fitting instructions are in the Canopy Fitment tab.
Fit it out
- On the roof: full-length roof rails take the Explorer Roof Rack, Heavy Duty Load Bars or the 1200mm Load Bar Set, for a rooftop tent, awning or solar panels.
- Inside: built-in nutserts and extruded channels take the Utility Full Shelf and Utility Half Shelf, the Canopy Storage Rack with Pull-Out Slides, the Drop-Down Canopy Table and MOLLE Panels. They bolt in with no cutting or drilling.

Check the mountings and bolts shortly after fitting and after long runs on corrugated roads, lubricate the locks with graphite powder only (never grease or WD-40), and wash the powder coat with a pH-neutral car wash. Couriers do not allow unloading by hand, for health and safety reasons. If, as is usually the case, you don't have a forklift at your home address, we can arrange delivery to your nearest FedEx freight depot or agent for you to collect.
Business delivery
If you give a commercial address for delivery of your canopy, a forklift must be available at the delivery point, with truck access. Couriers do not allow unloading by hand, for health and safety reasons.

Damage in transit
If you, or the person receiving your order, don't check that the item has arrived in good condition before accepting it, CapRax cannot be held responsible for any claim for damage in transit.
When your order arrives, check it thoroughly for any signs of damage before signing to accept it. Check the outside of the packaging, and if there are any signs of damage, open it and examine the product itself. Do this before you sign anything to say the item has been received; the driver needs to wait until you are satisfied. If you are not satisfied with the condition of the item, you are entitled to refuse delivery, and the courier will return the product to us.
If you don't follow this procedure and the item turns out to have been damaged in transit, CapRax has no way to claim on the freight insurance. If you sign anything and are not satisfied, make sure the driver notes this in writing, and get a copy signed by the driver.
